For The
Do-It-Yourself'er
Classic Overland respects the grease monkeys who’d prefer to do their own restoration work on a second hand Land Rover. However, the problem is that there is often no one to support them and give them the information they need when getting a used truck. In addition, there’s no one to help navigate the importation process to ensure the safe, legal delivery of their investment. Classic Overland is here to help.
We are constantly gaining access to quality donor vehicles that are being driven on the roads in South Africa. Classic Overland will do a comprehensive inspection of the second hand Land Rover. Then, we will list our findings so that the buyer will know the work ahead of them. We will also handle all government clearances, exportation, Interpol registration, importation brokerage, and delivery. This process comes at a price. However, it pales in comparison to what it’ll cost without a partner in the wild west of Defender purchasing.
We feel a strong connection to fellow Defender lovers and enthusiasts who get a natural high off of restoring their own vehicle. If you’re curious about our own restoration process, take a look at our ‘Build Your Defender’ page.
