Harris English returned from The Open Championship at Royal Troon with a new trophy: A Classic Overland vehicle, the Land Rover Defender.
The right fit
“I’ve always been intrigued by these awesome trucks. After seeing several around Royal Troon last week I became motivated to make one mine.” After researching these trucks and realizing their limited availability in the US, Harris was put in touch with Classic Overland. “I feel fortunate to work with the team at Classic Overland who have put me in the right Defender. In fact, Classic Overland’s owners and I have mutual friends and they were great to work with through this process. After looking at companies throughout the US it was evident that Classic Overland provided the best and most affordable product. Due to their operations being based in South Africa, they were able to offer these trucks at a great price,” said Harris.
Part of the family
Harris purchased the “Silverback” Defender with the overland package. The Classic Overland vehicle was delivered to him in Sea Island, Georgia. Thereafter, Harris was kind enough to spend time on the golf course giving golfing tips to Stebin’s boys. “We are honored to have Harris and his fiancé as part of the Classic Overland vehicle family. We look forward to watching him compete in the PGA Tour. It has probably been easy for Harris to remain invisible here on the Island but now that he’s driving the Silverback, so that’s going to be pretty hard,” said Stebin.
