Preparing for Drive Africa

By June 2, 2016Overland

Classic Overland is working judiciously towards having 2 complete restorations finished this month in preparation for our “Drive Africa” event the first week of July.

Both vehicles, the “Greene Machine” and “Lorie” are Land Rover Defender 110’s that will be fully outfitted in the Classic Overland Safari package.

IMG_3399Once completed in our factory outside of Cape Town the vehicles will be shipped to Johannesburg where Stebin Horne and Gerhard du Toit will meet up with the Greene Family from South Park, Colorado and they will begin their safari adventure heading east into the Low Veld.

Camping amongst the wilds of Mpumalanga at night and searching for the Big 5 by day these Land Rover Defenders will be put to the test as they have for over half a century.

Classic Overland takes great pride in reviving the iconic vehicles to the way they looked when they rolled out of the manufacturing plant in Port Elizabeth but with 2016 amenities in the interior.
